The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of NRI Institute of Technology (NRIIT) aims to foster entrepreneurial skills among aspiring professionals wishing to launch their own ventures. The institution provides infrastructure and technical support to students who propose unique ideas for products or services that can benefit society.
The EDC supports students with mentoring, planning, and execution to transform their ideas into viable start-ups. It also maintains a strong network of sponsors — including banks, training organizations, and industry partners — who assist future entrepreneurs.

To encourage emerging entrepreneurs, provide guidance from idea to execution, facilitate start-up growth, and support innovation through structured programs and schemes.

2. Raise entrepreneurial awareness among students.
3. Instill entrepreneurial mindset and culture among engineering graduates and postgraduates.
4. Provide industries with need-based consulting services.
5. Address opportunities and challenges faced by SMEs and micro-enterprises.

2. Develop and introduce entrepreneurial curriculum across levels.
3. Conduct surveys and research to identify business opportunities.
4. Guide students on project reports, approvals, loans, and technology options.
5. Organize seminars and guest lectures promoting entrepreneurship.
6. Arrange industrial visits for prospective entrepreneurs.
7. Provide assistance for approvals and execution of entrepreneurial projects.
8. Act as an information hub for markets, technologies, and processes.
9. Offer quality assurance, testing, and IPR support.
10. Advise sick units and assist in rehabilitation.
